How to use USB Server & USB Client in USB Client mode:
USB Server Installation
Please install USB Server & USB Client on your computer. All necessary instructions are here.
If you have some problems during USB Server installation, please read this.
If installation completed successfully, daemon usbsrvd is run in your system. You need to use the special utility usbsrv for sharing/unsharing USB devices and usbclnt for connecting/disconnecting USB devices. It is also installed in your system. All further operations are executed with the help of this utility
Keys for using usbclnt utility
usbclnt <command>
Where <command> is one of the following:
-a, -addserver <address:port> | |
-r, -remserver <address:port> | <serverid> | |
Remove remote usb server from configuration and disconnect all USB devices from that server. | |
-c, -connect <server> <device> | <serverid> - <deviceid> | |
Connect a specified device from a specified server. Server should be added to your configuration first. | |
-u, -disconnect <server> <device> | <serverid> - <deviceid> | |
-addexclude <server> <device> | <serverid> - <deviceid> | |
Add specified device to exclusion list. | |
-remexclude <server> <device> | <serverid> - <deviceid> | |
Remove specified device from exclusion list. | |
-autoconnecton <server> [<device>] | <serverid> [-<deviceid>] | |
Enable automatic connection of a single device or all devices on the specified server. | |
-autoconnectoff <server> [<device>] | <serverid> [-<deviceid>] | |
Disable automatic connection of a single device or all devices on the specified server. | |
-l, -list | |
Show the list of all USB servers currently presented in configuration. | |
-i, -info | |
Show information about USB Client. | |
<device > is -vid <vendorid > -pid <productid > -usbport <port >:
-vid | USB device Vendor ID. |
-pid | USB device Product ID. |
-usbport | USB port number as displayed by -list command. |
<server> is -server <address:port>
-server | Remote usb server address and port. |
<-deviceid> is specific number of USB device in device list.
<-serverid> is specific number of USB server in device list.
How to get the list of USB Server with USB devices:
To get the list of USB Servers with USB devices you need to execute:

usbclnt -l
Each USB Server has its own status:
connected - USB client is connected to remote USB Server.
disconnected - USB client can not connect to remote USB Server.
version conflict - incorrect version of USB Server on the remote computer.
Each USB device has its own status:
available for connection - remote USB device is available for connection.
not available - remote USB device is not available for connection.
connected - remote USB device is connected to this computer.
in exclusion list - remote USB device is in exclusion list and can not be connected.
Add USB Server
To add USB server into configuration you have to execute:

Connect a device by server id and device id:
To connect (19) FM1083 FORTEMEDIA / Composite USB Device from (1) USB Server at 192.168.1.2 you have to execute:

Connect a device by hardware id:
To connect FM1083 FORTEMEDIA / Composite USB Device from USB Server at 192.168.1.2 you have to execute:

Disconnect USB device
To disconnect (19) FM1083 FORTEMEDIA / Composite USB Device from (1) USB Server at 192.168.1.2 you have to execute:
