Completely new product USB Server + USB Client for Linux version 1.5 Beta is available for beta testing. You can download beta-version from here. Before evaluation please install version 1.5 both on the Client and Server computers. Currently beta version does not save a configuration for Client. Therefore after daemon restart please add usbserver once again. If you get any bugs or errors (Kernel Panic and so on) during the beta-testing please send us the following information so we could fix everything: |

All necessary instructions are here: If installation completed successfully daemon usbsrvd will be run in your system. You need to use the special utility usbsrv for sharing/unsharing USB devices and usbclnt for connect/disconnect USB devices. It is also installed in your system. All further operations are carried out with the help of this utility Keys for using usbclnt utility usbclnt [-l] [-a hostname:tcpport] [-r h_usbserver] [-c h_usbserver-h_usbdevice]

Utility performs the information about USB servers in this way: [h_usbserver:] on [hostname]:[tcpport] status:[connection status] To connect USB device you need to select the USB Server when USB device is plugged. h_usbserver - uniq handle of USB Server (marked yellow line). h_usbdevice - uniq handle of USB Device (marked yellow line). Each USB device has its own status: device is available for connection - USB device is shared on remote computer and available for connection! device is not available - USB device is shared on remote computer, but not plugged device is in use by client - USB device connected to the remote client. Connect USB device To connect USB device you have to carry out "connect" command and point out usbserve and device's h_usbserver and h_usbdevice E.g. to coonect USB Receiver Logitech - Composite USB Device you have to carry out this command: And indicate both h_server (1) and h_device (1) for this device. Disconnect USB device To disconnect USB device you have to carry out "disconnect" command and point out usbserve and device's h_usbserver and h_usbdevice E.g. to disconnect USB Receiver Logitech - Composite USB Device you have to carry out this command: |
