How to use USB Redirector and USB Server for Linux. IncentivesPro offers new unique technology for connecting remote USB devices to the computers with different Operating Systems. Our products USB Server & USB Client for Linux and USB Redirector allows to shared USB device plugged on computer working under Windows OS systems and connect it to remote computer with Linux OS.
Step 1: Install USB Server & USB Client for Linux on the computer with Linux OS. USB Server installation instructions you can find here: Step 2. Firewall setup on Windows side. You need to set up the rules for firewall: allow incoming/outcomming TCP connection on 32032 (by default) TCP port. Step 3. Install USB Redirector on the computer with Windows OS. You need to install USB Redirector on Windows computer as USB Server. Step 4. Add USB Server to the configuration on Linux side. To add USB server you have to execute:
Step 5. Share USB Device on Windows side Start USB Redirector. You will see the window with the list of USB devices available for sharing. If you can not find one of your USB devices in this list, please check whether it is plugged into USB port or not. To share USB device you need to choose this device from the list of USB devices on your computer and click button on Toolbar or select Sharing->Share USB Device.
A the same time shared USB device will be available on Linux side
Step 6. Connect remote USB device on Linux side To connect (1) Flas Disk / USB Mass Storage Device from (1) USB Server at 192.168.1.5 you have to execute:
